Memorandum of Understanding with Nooksack Tribe
On Tuesday, February 17, 2026 the Commissioners of Whatcom PUD met with members of the Nooksack Tribal Council to commemorate our ongoing partnership in the exploration of geothermal energy on Mt. Baker with a Memorandum of Understanding. We are grateful for our relationship with the Nooksack Tribe and its people and we look forward to continuing our joint efforts to explore the possibility of bringing clean energy generation to our communities.
