Mt. Baker Geothermal Project: Prefeasibility Resource Assessment Evaluation and Preliminary Recommendations
HERO (Hot Rock Energy Resource Organization) has prepared a Prefeasibility Geothermal Resource Assessment Evaluation and Preliminary Recommendations report for the Nooksack Tribe and Whatcom PUD. As outlined in our recently adopted Strategic Plan, our Board of Commissioners has identified the investigation of new clean energy sources of power as a priority. We are pleased to be working with the Nooksack Tribe in these efforts.
NoStrategic Plan 2025 – 2031
After many months of working collaboratively and seeking public input, the Commissioners and Staff of Whatcom PUD are proud to present our recently updated Strategic Plan 2025 – 2031. With an eye on the future of power and water in Whatcom County, we have developed a cornerstone document to guide our efforts in both the near future and for decades to come. We know of course that the world is ever changing. We are prepared to adjust our course as those changes dictate and are committed to revisiting this process approximately every five years.
