Trans-basin importation of water brings water from outside of WRIA #1 for use in WRIA #1.

  • Trans-basin importation of water could support the flow elements of fish habitat.
Water Quantity:

  • Trans-basin importation of water could augment WRIA 1 water supplies.
Water Quality:

  • Trans-basin importation of water could provide the potential for temperature reduction and dilution of contaminants due to higher flows.
Instream Flows:

  • Trans-basin importation of water could augment instream flow and some imported water could be dedicated to instream flow maintenance or enhancement.
