Public Notice – Determination of Non-Significance for Proposal of Water Main Intertie

PUBLIC NOTICE

PURSUANT TO RCW 43.21C AND WAC 197.11.340(2), NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on February 5, 2019, Public Utility District No. 1 of Whatcom County did issue a Determination of Non-Significance with a 14-day comment period and will not act on the proposal for 14 days from the date of above, relative to the environmental impact of the following described proposal.


The project proposes an extension of the non-potable water main within an intertie for the Grandview/Northgate/I-5 Industrial Parks, located in Whatcom County within the existing road prism of Vista Drive. The waterline would begin just north of the intersection of Aldergrove Road and Vista Drive and would continue approximately 1.05-miles to the intersection of Grandview Road and Vista Drive. The project would continue east in the road prism of Grandview Road approximately 0.4 miles to its terminus at Salashan Parkway.

The determination that the proposal will not have probable adverse impact on the environment and that an environmental impact statement (EIS) is not required was made following the review of a completed environmental checklist and other information submitted by the applicant and on file. Complete information, including all environmental documents and copies of the proposal may be reviewed at the P.U.D. No. 1 of Whatcom County, Administrative Offices, 1705 Trigg Road, Ferndale, WA.
