Commission Selects Officers and Board Appointments - Meeting Schedule also set for 2012......

The Public Utility District No. 1 of Whatcom County Board of Commissioners elected Mike Murphy to serve as President, Paul Kenner as Vice President and Jeff McClure as Secretary.  Commissioner and staff representatives for agencies that the District is a member of were also selected. These positions remain the same for 2012:

• Washington Public Utility Districts Association Representative: Commissioner Mike Murphy

• Energy Northwest Board of Directors Representative (Elected) and Alternate (Staff): Commissioner Mike Murphy; General Manager Steve Jilk as alternate

• Northwest Economic Council (NWEC) Board Member: Commissioner Jeff McClure

• Whatcom County Economic Development Investment Board: Commissioner Jeff McClure

• Public Utility Risk Management Services (PURMS) - (Elected) Representative: Commissioner Paul Kenner
